Your Guide to a Perfect Stay in Dorset’s Countryside

Meadow View Country Park is located at Horton Road, Wigbeth, Wimborne, Dorset, England, BH21 7JH. It is nestled in the Dorset countryside near the village of Horton, between the Cranborne Chase National Landscape and the New Forest National Park, approximately a 20-minute drive from Bournemouth and the New Forest. It’s about a 2-hour drive from London, making it an ideal base for exploring the Dorset coastline.

The park offers a variety of options including 300 tent pitches, 300 touring caravan pitches, 300 motorhome pitches, 4 lodges/cabins/pods/huts, and 4 rent-a-tent options. Glamping includes luxurious bell tents (5m for up to 4 people and 6m for up to 5 people) with furnishings like wood-burning stoves, kitchens, and BBQ areas. Static caravans and shepherds huts are also available for a more comfortable stay.

We had such a lovely and peaceful stay at Meadow View Country Park – the setting is beautiful, so quiet, and we slept wonderfully. The pod was fabulous! The country park is already gorgeous, and it’s exciting to see the potential with the works in progress – it’s clear the country park will only get better and better. Side note regarding the building works, we were not disturb by any works being carried out. We’re looking forward to returning, both just as a couple and also with our children to try the Safari tents. Family friendly, dog friendly, brilliant!

After many years coming to this site it has now closed down .A total shame because it is getting harder and harder to find a campsite this good. There are no other campsites as good as this one in this area.
